DP02U-4K6G is a DisplayPort KVM extender powered by HDBaseT 3.0 technology. Featuring the advanced Valens Stello VS3000 chipset, it is the premier solution for distributing uncompressed, zero-latency video over long distances. It transmits top-tier 4K60Hz resolution and bi-directional RS232 signals up to 100m over a single cable. Unique to this model is independent, bi-directional 3.5mm analog audio I/O alongside DisplayPort audio pass-through, adding flexibility for remote communication and AV workflows. The receiver unit includes 4 built-in USB ports to seamlessly connect multiple peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and flash drives for high-performance workstations. It serves as an ideal and reliable solution for extending high-definition video from a PC or laptop to a remote monitor or touch panel.
Since its introduction, DisplayPort has quickly become the most widely used audiovisual interface apart from HDMI. In addition to being royalty-free, DisplayPort's audiovisual specifications are even superior to HDMI, attracting users who pursue higher-quality visuals.
Today, the audiovisual market also demands integration for DisplayPort due to its flourishing development. Regarding DisplayPort, which already supports high-quality graphics, HDBaseT transmission is the best choice.

More and more large-scale projects require reliable, high-performance methods to extend their DisplayPort signals. With HDBaseT 3.0 technology, the DP02U-4K6G can integrate multiple signals and, thanks to its exceptionally high transmission bandwidth, extend signals up to 100m using a single network cable. This makes it highly suitable for professional applications such as live esports events, large-scale exhibitions, and more.

DP02U-4K6G supports uncompressed 4K@60Hz video through HDBaseT 3.0 technology, avoiding any loss of image quality and delivering a lifelike, vivid audiovisual experience.

Both the DP02U-4K6G and the HDMI model HE02U-4K6G are built on HDBaseT 3.0 and can be paired for DisplayPort-to-HDMI (or HDMI-to-DisplayPort) extension, allowing you to extend a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display while maintaining USB KVM control.

DP02U-4K6G supports 4-port USB 2.0 transmission, allowing you to connect peripherals such as keyboards, mice, webcams, touchscreens, and other computer peripherals. This not only enhances control flexibility but also addresses any device expansion needs.
DP02U-4K6G is equipped with a 3.5mm RS232 jack, enabling the remote transmission of control signals to computers or mechanical devices.
In addition to the built-in audio transmission of DisplayPort itself, the DP02U-4K6G also supports 3.5mm audio input/output to enable users to utilize communication functions remotely. This allows you to connect headphones, speakers, or microphones.

The extension of HDBaseT 3.0 heavily relies on the quality of the cables. Utilizing cables certified by the HDBaseT Alliance is advantageous for achieving the optimal transmission distance of 100 meters. SC&T provides a detailed list of cable models, specifications, and transmission distances in the user manual for integrators to purchase the right cables.

Yes, DisplayPort inherently includes video and audio signals; when the extender extends the signals, audio will also be transmitted simultaneously. Some DisplayPort extenders also support 3.5mm audio input and output, making it more convenient for users to choose the corresponding audio devices according to their needs.
DisplayPort extenders are backward compatible with older DP versions, while the transmitted video only follows the specifications of the lower version. To achieve maximum performance, ensure the extender and the devices support the same DP version.
It is recommended to use the same brand of DisplayPort extenders to ensure compatibility and optimal performance, as manufacturing processes may differ among different manufacturers, leading to variations in compatibility and performance. If you need to mix devices of different brands, compatibility tests should be conducted before the integration is complete.
Integrating transmitters/receivers made by different manufacturers in your system is not recommended since they are designed and manufactured differently.
Only a few high-end DisplayPort extenders possess durability and weather-resistance features. If there is a requirement for outdoor audiovisual extension, placing the extender in a waterproof and dustproof enclosure is recommended to ensure its regular operation.
Yes, you can use a device that supports HDBaseT input on the receiver side. The HDBaseT transmitter can directly send signals to your HDBaseT device without receivers. Devices like projectors and monitors with HDBaseT input ports are often used.
Since HDBaseT transmits uncompressed, zero-latency video, it requires a higher bandwidth: 4K 30Hz video requires 10.2Gbps and 4K 60Hz 18Gbps. Consequently, we recommend that you use Cat6a or better cables. In addition, you can visit the website of HDBaseT Alliance to learn more about certified cables, which ensures the most efficient transmission.
Use HDBaseT Alliance–certified CAT6a cable to help ensure stable transmission quality.
Because HDBaseT carries uncompressed, zero-latency video, it can be more susceptible to interference. Please make sure the HDBaseT cable is routed at least 30 cm away from power cables to reduce noise.
HDBaseT extenders are a go-to choice for system integrators, but real-world projects can still bring common installation challenges. We’ve compiled the most frequent issues reported by integrators and created a complete troubleshooting report. Please refer to: HDBaseT Extender Installation & Troubleshooting Guide.
