The HE02EI is an HDMI HDBaseT video extender with integrated IR control, capable of extending 4K@30Hz signals up to 40m and 1080p signals up to 70m. Utilizing HDBaseT technology to transmit uncompressed HDMI signals, alongside a flexible built-in bi-directional IR function, ideal for small-to-medium meeting rooms, smart classrooms, and digital signage.
Small-to-Medium Meeting Rooms & Classrooms: Concealed AV Management
Uncompressed & Zero-Latency HDBaseT Transmission
HDBaseT technology ensures uncompressed transmission with zero latency. Supporting resolutions up to 4K@30Hz, the system maintains high-specification AV extension performance.
Flexible Transmission 1080p Distance up to 70m
Transmission distance varies based on video resolution and cable quality. Transmission performance using CAT6a cables:
1080p @ 60Hz: Up to 70m
4K @ 30Hz: Up to 40m (CAT6a / CAT7 cables recommended for maximum performance)
Bi-directional IR Control: Concealed Equipment Integration
Supports 30-60kHz bidirectional IR transmission with a hardware toggle switch on the transmitter to define signal direction. This allows operators to manage remote source devices from the display side, consolidating media players and cables within server rooms or cabinets.
CEC & EDID Pass-through
Ensures handshake protocols and control signals between displays and playback sources. CEC pass-through enables cross-device linkage control (such as synchronized power on/off), while EDID automatic detection guarantees optimal native resolution.
Lossless Audio Format Support
Supports lossless formats including 7.1 LPCM 192kHz, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio, delivering an uncompromised, high-fidelity AV experience.
Low Power Consumption, Continuous Operation
Maximum power consumption is 2W for the transmitter and 4W for the receiver, utilizing a standard DC 5V/1A supply. Low power draw and thermal stability support continuous commercial operation.
Application Scenarios
The HE02EI provides cross-zone equipment management across professional AV environments.
Small-to-Medium Meeting Rooms
Supports concealed cabling for mobile TV stands or presentation tables. Presenters manage ceiling or cabinet equipment from their seats, keeping the meeting space clutter-free.
Smart Classrooms
Designed for seamless integration of lectern cabinets and interactive whiteboards. Instructors standing at the front of the classroom can effortlessly manage remote source hosts via the extended IR path.
Retail Stores & Showrooms
Centralizes playback units in secure server rooms with zero-latency 4K imagery. On-site staff can adjust remote devices and volume using a standard remote control directly from the display side.
High-End Home Theaters
Supports 7.1 LPCM and Dolby TrueHD pass-through. Bidirectional IR routing allows AV equipment to be concealed in cabinets while maintaining remote control capabilities from the viewing area, eliminating exposed hardware.

Supports bi-directional IR signal routing, CEC, and EDID pass-through.
CAT6a or higher grade cables are highly recommended for optimal distance and performance.
Can HDMI AV and IR signals be input directly into an HDBaseT-supported display?
Yes. If the display (e.g., projector or monitor) supports standard HDBaseT input, it can connect directly via a single network cable. For IR transmission, manually set the transmitter's hardware switch to match the signal direction.
Can the HE02EI be mixed with third-party HDBaseT equipment?
Not recommended. Cross-brand circuits and IR pinouts vary; paired deployment of SC&T devices is recommended. However, as HE02EI complies with standard HDBaseT protocols, the Tx can be used independently if the display features an integrated HDBaseT input (HDBaseT in).
Which type of network cable is recommended?
4K@30Hz requires a 10.2Gbps bandwidth; CAT6a or higher cabling is recommended for optimal transmission and EMI resistance. For qualified brands, check the HDBaseT Alliance official website for certified options.
If remote control fails after installation, how do I troubleshoot using the IR switch and cables?
Verify the following three hardware statuses in sequence:
Switch Setting (Tx/Rx): Ensure the transmitter’s slide switch position aligns with the required routing direction (forward control or backward return).
Cable Slots: Ensure the IR Receiver and IR Emitter cables are correctly connected to their designated ports; do not interchange them.
Sensing Angles: Confirm the IR receiver is unobstructed and the emitter is aligned with the target device’s IR sensor window.
