Are these extenders tested before leaving the factory?
Yes. Every HUE01-4K6G unit adheres to our strict "Verified Before Shipped" protocol. We test each device for long-distance 4K60Hz link stability, signal integrity, and power delivery to guarantee a zero-defect, out-of-the-box solution for installers.
What is the warranty period for this extender?
We back our industrial-grade durability with a comprehensive 3-year factory hardware warranty. If you encounter any non-accidental hardware issues within this period, SC&T provides full factory diagnostics, professional testing, and repair support.
Do both the transmitter and receiver need their own power adapters?
No. The system utilizes bidirectional Power over Cable (PoC) technology. You only need to connect the included 12V/1A power supply to either the transmitter or the receiver. The companion unit automatically draws stable power over the single CAT6 cable.
How do I charge a presenter’s laptop during a meeting?
Connect our optional 24V/5A high-power adapter to the transmitter (HUE01T). When a user plugs in via USB-C, the extender activates the USB-PD 3.0 protocol, delivering 60W to 100W of reverse power to charge the laptop while simultaneously transmitting 4K video.
Why is my video signal dropping or failing to display?
4K60Hz signals require high-quality cabling infrastructure. We recommend using 23AWG or 24AWG solid copper CAT6 UTP cables with properly crimped RJ45 connectors. Avoid cheap patch cords, Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA), or intermediate punch-down panels that cause signal attenuation.
How does the system switch inputs when both HDMI and USB-C are connected?
By default, the built-in Auto Search logic automatically switches to the newest active input source. You can also manually override inputs using the "Input Select" button on the transmitter panel or remotely automate switching via RS-232 serial commands.
Can the USB-C port transfer USB data for a keyboard, mouse, or flash drive?
No. The USB-C port uses DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode), completely dedicating its bandwidth to uncompressed 4K60Hz video, HDCP, and 100W PD charging. It does not carry native USB data signals. For KVM setups, check out SC&T's dedicated KVM extender series.
