Q: What type is its fiber connector? Does it support both single-mode and multimode fiber?

A: HE01F-4K uses LC connectors and supports both single and multimode fiber.

‍

Q: Does it have an overheating problem?

A: All SC&T's products undergo burn-in tests: HE01F-4K has an operating temperature ranging from 40°C to 50°C, which will not affect its long-period operation.

※The DisplayPort version (DP01F-4K) will be launched this year.

Q: What sets it apart from other Cat5e extenders?

A: HE03-4K uses over-IP technology and can be used with an ethernet switch to split multiple signals. You can also use the loop-out version for a longer transmission distance with up to 250 monitors in a daisy chain without using an ethernet switch; each monitor can be extended for an extra 120m - 140m.

Q: Is there a 4K@60 version?

A: Yes, a 4K@60 version will be released this year.

Q: Is it active and in need of power?

A: No, the dongle is a passive extender. However, power can help stabilize the signal when interruptions occur due to the complicated configuration. A micro-USB port is designed on the transmitter to connect to power.

Q: Can it be used with an ethernet switch?

A: No. Since it is not an over-IP product, it cannot be used with a switch; however, you can use our HE04SEK 1x4 HDMI Distribution Extender to distribute your video to up to 12 monitors.

A: SC&T uses chipsets produced in Taiwan by the local manufacturer.

Q: What are your over-IP series features?

A: SC&T's over-IP series can:

• Support control via APP, Windows software, and RS232 custom code (attached to the user manual) which you can integrate into your environmental control system.
